After identifying particular management zones, the GTA software suite enables farmers to create a treatment plan relative to the specific crop, actual growing conditions and yield potential.
Maps showing previous years’ yields are compared with other information and decisions made on the seed, fertiliser and chemical applications to match that specific area’s yield potential. Even weeds that occur in patches can also be mapped and treated as individual patches.
The information is used to create a treatment plan that is transferred to the Fieldstar terminal. This not only reads the plan but also records the work done creating an ‘as applied map’ providing full traceability of what has been applied and where.
